Regarding the voting system for daily posts, I assumed that once a post made it to the second day, it had already passed the administrators’ screening process. I thought the results were determined purely by the number of votes. However, in reality, the winners are decided based on some kind of judgment call.
Also, perhaps because they’re being overly influenced by calls for “fairness!”, I felt like they were being too accommodating toward entries with few likes. If the admins are applying their own filter to the voting results anyway, then what’s the point of going to all the trouble of voting in the first place?
If a work with a high number of votes can’t win, that means, conversely, works with no chance of winning are being kept as nominees. If a final vote is part of the rules, then regardless of the format, if the results aren’t followed, doesn’t this voting system itself become a complete farce? If the voting results have no meaning, I’d like to see this cumbersome voting system abolished.
