Is it ok to use links to the AI?

when we create a ai chat, its said to not share links or our character may be blocked... (or something like that).. This is for sharing with users or for sharing with the engine too? I mean... I am making a database in google sites for tabletop rpgs i want to make... if i say to the engine in the creation "use (site link) as reference" my character will be blocked? because i just want to make the ai find the useful info to the character, i dont want to share links with users or anything
