[IA Character] Soaring costs of Claude

After a certain amount of use, the costs of the Anthropic model “Claude v3.7” become EXTREMELY excessive.

I used one of my Character for a few weeks, and now a SINGLE message costs more than 300 stamina units!

This means that even with the highest subscription plan, you can only send… 11 messages. Since the full price of a Master plan is over €40, each message you send effectively costs €4!!

This has nothing to do with the actual cost, but everything to do with Seaart’s greedy strategy.

Since the AI gradually forgets messages, sending the 120th message should be no more costly than sending the 30th

But Seaart assumes that a two-month-old conversation is more valuable than one that is only two days old, so the user is likely to end up paying a high price.

Ok, Claude is by far the best model (even in its older 3.7 version…), so we can accept that its cost is higher than some inferior Deepseek/Qwen/etc. models. Quality comes at a price. But not at these proportions, and especially not as the result of a dishonest strategy !

I am quite sure that many other users have come to the same conclusion (and I am sure this doesn’t only concern Claude’s model).

The outcome for Seeart will be fewer users actually using AI Characters, because a Character that becomes unusable after 70 messages due to cost is a waste of time — and a Character you won’t use at all.
