Daily Challenge
In the contest called "daily challenge" in the "All works" section, the "Latest" button should be enabled by default, this will be more fair for new works. For example, you publish a new work after lunch or closer to the evening, and there is almost no reaction from viewers, and the publication moves down very quickly and therefore even the most interesting story, which is beautifully drawn, gets about 10 views maximum in such a situation. At the same time, there is still half a day or even more until the end of the contest. All this, of course, taking into account that the author does not yet have subscribers, like me, for example.

As for the featured works displayed above, every user will have a chance to submit. Selected works don't necessarily represent popularity, and we'll continue to optimize the selection process, taking multiple factors into consideration.

For example, now, when you go to the "Daily Challenge", you immediately see duplicated works in the "Selected Works for" section and in the "All Works on the Topic" section. Even just for variety, it makes sense to make the "Latest" button enabled by default in the "All Works on the Topic" section. I'm sure that most people just look further without clicking the "Latest" button because at the moment it doesn't matter to them whether these are the latest works or popular ones. And new works at this moment are almost ignored.
If you make the "Latest" button in the "All works on the topic" section active by default, then this will allow really interesting works to win more often. I can explain it. The thing is that your top section at the beginning of the day shows the latest works, and a very limited number of them, and then this section turns into "Selected works for". That's why people rush to create and post their works early in the morning, and this rush definitely affects the quality of the idea for the plot. You get beautiful pictures without an idea and without a plot, but this is the worst case. Then these uninteresting works gain more and more views and, accordingly, likes, because if you don't switch anything, which is what most viewers do, then only these boring works are visible all day. Someone who didn't have time to do the work at the beginning of the day can create a really interesting work during the day, because there is no point in rushing. Then he posts it, but gets a maximum of 10-15 views, if he has no subscribers. As a result, almost no one sees interesting works, although beautiful, but at the same time boring and uninteresting works are in plain sight.
