After yesterday’s update, SeaArt has effectively locked down entire profiles, hiding huge amounts of user content behind NSFW flags — even when these works contained no NSFW elements, no explicit content, no shock imagery, and fully complied with community guidelines.
This is not a minor bug.
This is a massive platform-wide failure that:
Blocks already published works retroactively
Hides user portfolios without explanation
Flags safe and harmless artworks as “sensitive”
Prevents creators from knowing what exactly was flagged and why
And does all this without any notice or justification
For many of us, SeaArt is not just entertainment. We invest time, effort, creative energy, and in many cases — money into this platform. When our entire portfolios are suddenly censored by an untested algorithm, without transparent criteria or the ability to appeal, this is not a “feature update”.
This is a breach of trust.
Creators deserve:
Clear and published NSFW classification rules
A functioning, manual appeal system — not a hidden, disabled button
Restoration of previously available works that were wrongly flagged
A public statement about what exactly was changed in the NSFW detection model
Immediate rollback of the faulty classifier until it is fixed
Compensation for paid subscribers whose content has been wrongfully restricted
We’re not asking for anything unreasonable.
We only want fairness, transparency, and respect for our creative work.
SeaArt, listen to your community.
The platform is built on our creations — don’t punish your creators for the mistakes of your algorithm.
