Isn't that a bit much?

Tutorial Lab: Creative Deconstruction Challenge

A creative contest called "Creative Deconstruction Challenge" is currently underway.

Based on what I can confirm right now, there are four accounts with three-digit like counts.

I won’t name them to avoid causing any trouble, but I encourage anyone reading this to check them out for themselves.

True to the "tutorial" theme, the engagement rates for these four accounts—the percentage of people who not only "like" the post but also click through to view the content—exceed 80%, give or take a margin of error.

It’s clear from their activity that they took their time accumulating likes throughout the contest period.

I believe this is how it should be.

Why did I exclude one account?

I won’t name names. My goal isn’t to shame anyone .

I was able to confirm three posts, all of which were posted within 3 to 1 days, and all of which had over 150 likes. However, given that this was a contest centered on tutorials, the content view rate was less than 33%, which is extremely low compared to others.

Changing the subject, when using a bot to inflate likes, the following characteristics can be observed.

Since users are only clicking “Like,” the like count goes up, but it’s not hard to imagine that the view rate drops because opening and viewing the work requires a more complex program. Let’s get back to the topic.

In other contests or daily challenges, there are likely many people who just look at the thumbnail and hit "Like."

There’s nothing surprising about the view rate dropping in that case. After all, you can judge the quality of a work just by looking at the thumbnail.

But in the case of contests like tutorial contests—which involve step-by-step guides or “secret manuals”—I don’t think there are that many people who would “like” a post based solely on the thumbnail without checking the actual content, rather than just the quality of the artwork.

Of course, there are probably some followers who visit the person’s page and hit “Like” out of courtesy, but even so… don’t you think that’s a bit much? In fact, the view rates for the other four accounts are probably over 60% at the very least.

How does the administration view this?

The value of the likes accumulated by the four accounts with over 100 followers—where more than 80% of people took the time to check the content during the contest period—versus the value of the over 150 likes gathered in less than 24 hours by that one account with a view rate of less than a third.
